The Last Frontier, this vast sparsely-populated country delights for both it's natural beauty and historic/cultural features. The world's first national park was established here in the 18th century.

Geography runs the gamut from soaring mountains and the steppes to the scorching Gobi. Wildlife abounds. This is still a land of the horse.

The nomadic life persists for many and @ 50% of those who have moved into Ulaan Bataar, the "boomtown" capital, still live in traditional ger (yurts). The culture is rich with a history of world conquest, highly developed graphic arts, unique traditional dancing and the original "throat singers".
